 Moody Gardens maintains a Drug-Free Workplace in compliance with applicable federal and state laws. Employees are prohibited from engaging in the use, possession, or distribution of controlled substances or alcohol while on duty or on company property. Testing may be conducted in accordance with policy. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Moody Gardens® is committed to maintaining a safe environment for our employees, guests, and the animals in our care. Employees may encounter wildlife or animals as part of their work duties, particularly within attraction areas and outdoor spaces.

For safety reasons, employees are required to follow all established animal handling and safety protocols. Unauthorized contact, feeding, teasing, or attempting to handle any animal is strictly prohibited unless specifically trained and approved to do so as part of job responsibilities.

Any animal-related concerns, unusual behavior, or incidents must be reported immediately to a supervisor or the appropriate department. Employees should never place themselves or others at risk by approaching wild or unfamiliar animals.

This policy exists to protect both people and animals while supporting Moody Gardens®’ mission of education, conservation, and responsible care.
